Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural aesthetics fascinate me and this small coffee table book has a great many photos of the hundreds of homes he designed as well as the larger public buildings for which he is better knownMy one complaint is that the book has short descriptions of each of the houses within often telling the reader that the home contained many innovative architectural features yet rarely describing any of those features I realize that an in depth analysis of Wright's designs and style is not the goal of this book and I'm sure there are other books that do cover such topics but it was a bit of a disappointment to be told of interesting architecture but only be given one outside photo of each house The academic content of this book was excellent but the physical form detracted from the reader's ability to absorb the subject The many pictures were labeled somewhat haphazardly and very freuently the text and picture on a given page did not match Further there were uite a few typos Altogether I developed the impression that perhaps the book was rushed through the editing phase If one is willing to put in the effort to steer past these distractions there is much to be learned here Absolutely love Frank Lloyd Wright
