Obsessive enemies ex lovers and poisoned espresso do nothing to make Marc and Dillon's trip to Italy relaxing In fact they'll be lucky if they survive at all. This book starts right where the first left off The danger is real and Dillon has to rely on himself to get to Marc and safety I liked how they evaded their enemies while each struggling with feeling insecure and inadeuate Who knew assassins could be shy? Marc at times was sweet and a bit thick where feelings were concerned Dillon was a bit better at it considering how patient he had to be with Marc Oh ex lover and jealousy That was highly amusing But it was hard to be mad when Marc was clueless himself about the aforementioned lover The book was fast paced slightly suspenseful and hilarious in a sense that assassins here talked so much it was a wonder they got anything done But this was an entertaining read nonetheless The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger but it made me even curious about what is going to happen next ‘Assassins Love People Too’ is the seuel to ‘Assassins Are People Too’ and you really should read that book first It will not only give you the details and character history you need to understand what is going on in this book but it is also hilariously funny and very suspenseful In fact I thought it was a hard act to follow but am happy to report that I think the seuel is even better There is a little less humor and suspense as Dillon and Marc’s lives come under threat but there is also a deeper look at their developing relationship Dillon is still pretty naïve and that gets him into trouble than once and Marc is beginning to admit that he has feelings After the heart stopping cliff hanger of the previous book events take off at a run in this seuel before they accelerate Hold on to your hats for this onePlease find my full review of the second edition on Rainbow Book Reviews 35 starsVery enjoyeable fast paced but sometimes Dillon's insecurity drove me nuts I'd certainly read Ronin's book if it became available I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked ReadsMark and Dillon are on the move trying to avoid Mark's enemies and stay alive This leads them to staying with Ronin a colleague Mark's as well as his former lover Mark and Ronin decide to take the fight to the bad guysFor a short story this had a good helping of angst Mark's inability to share his feelings allows Dillon's insecurities to fester and the addition of Ronin into the mix doesn't help This story also has some good action and moves at a fast pace I really enjoyed Assassins Love People Too and epilogue left me eager for Book – Assassins Love People Too Assassins in Love #2Author – SC WynneStar rating ★★★★☆No of Pages 105Movie Potential – ★★★★☆Ease of reading – very easy to readWould I read it again Yes I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK BY THE AUTHOR IN RETURN FOR AN HONEST REVIEW Reviewed for Divine MagazineFor me this one suffered the curse of Book 2 It happens every time with me Book 1 is so incredible that I'm giddy and barely able to vocalise what I loved about the story Then Book 2 comes along and something is lost in translation Thankfully this one wasn't TOO lost It was a minor issue that I can easily overlook to come back and happily delve into the next book in the series and hopefully the next one after thatThe characters were just as great They keep their old personalities and uirks while having time to explore of their new ones The story and plot line was well developed and paced too which was great I never felt rushed or that the story stagnated anywhere Both books in this series are the perfect length reuired to tell the story properly All too often with actionadventure stories book 2's plots try too hard to out do the last book Wynne did a brilliant job of making sure that didn't happen It wasn't necessary These characters and their stories are strong enough to stand on their own two feet without exaggerating the plot or making it ridiculous with too much action or not enoughAs for editing there were less issues than book 1 which was great One or two missing uotation marks and nothing else as far as I noticedWhat made the book lacking for me was the constant bickering between Marc and Dillon It was all repeating the same conversations over and over again Though their fears made sense it got a little repetitive to keep reading the same arguments in new words in new places That's when I lost interest and it took me a few pages to really pick back up again So due to how often that happened I was being nudged out of the story by the argument then had to ease my way back in again about a dozen timesI get that Marc is an assassin and he doesn't open up but it irritates me the way he uses that as an excuse to not be completely honest Dillon has placed his whole trust in him and Marc can't do the same He hasn't even revealed his real name to him which I'm not happy about At the same time they haven't known each other long so it makes a little bit of sense to be hesitant But the repetition of that got in the way of what else was going on between them There were some really amazing “moments” where Dillon gave up the fight and placed his heart soul and trust into Marc with no reason to except that he loved the man It made me sad that Marc couldn't return even a sliver of that trustFor that reason the repetition I removed one star It was the disconnects that made reading this one at only 105 pages take longer than book 1 which had about 10 pages Without that I would probably be as speechless as with book 1 because I really do love these characters and their uirksI loved the new additions Leo Gianni and Ronan They were all great in their own way I even liked meeting crazy JulioThere were still funny hot intense moments I even liked when Dillon got drunk and said all the wrong things at the wrong time because he was sticking up for himself with the same spunk and fire that I'd loved in him in book 1Overall I can't wait for the next book It will be nice to see Ronan and Gianni again but I really hope all the focus is still on Marc and Dillon Those two guys have some serious issues to work onFavourite uote“He had no idea the power he had over me I was wrapped like silk thread around his perfect fingers and he had no clue”““It's not easy for me to talk aboutmy feelings” My voice was stiff and I wanted to be able to say stuff without it seeming like I was being tortured” This was my first book by SC Wynne and I really enjoyed the story I wasn't too far in before I realized I was missing some vital information So after doing a little research I found out Assassins Love People Too is book two in the Assassins Love series I read a few reviews for book one to kind of help me get up to speed but I definitely want to go back and read it for myself Even coming in at a disadvantage I was still able to follow along easily and understand what was going on The author has a light and fun writing style that is easy to adapt to and before you know it you are pulled into the story Dillon finds himself in some very stressful situations trying to get to Marc's side He doesn't know what's going on only that he needs to get there and refrain from talking to anyone in the process But for Dillon that's easier said than done He likes people he likes to talk and make friends and he has a hard time accepting that not everyone is what or who they appearMarc is a trained assassin who has a hard time showing his emotions He is used to being a loner but he really wants to make a go with Dillon so he's trying Taking Dillon along while trying to stay ten steps ahead of another killer is not easy but it's the safest bet he hopes From the minute Dillon starts on his journey he is met with one strange situation after another He really wants to make it work with Marc so he's pretty willing to do anything he asks or tells him but he would like to have some reassurances in exchange Would it kill him to tell him how he really feels? Hopefully no one gets killed before Dillon gets his wishThis is a fast paced story that can be read easily in one setting with just enough action and suspense to keep your interest peeked There is danger and a little mystery that adds to the story but at the same time it's kind of light and fun I never really felt like anyone was in any real danger but I was intrigued with the plot Enough so that I'm interested in Ronin and what happens next Overall I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to others for a low angst funny yet adventurous read 4 stars from me All the happiness I love the suspense these books give me Dillon and Marc are so entertaining together Marc with his inept social graces and relationship experience and Dillion with his insecurities and inability to read Marc all that well These two LITERALLY need to communicate to get what the other one is trying to convey In the first book it ended on a cliffhanger and we all wanted to throw our Kindles and cry Well there’s a bit of a cliffhanger on this one as well butttttttttt it’s not who you think who? Yeah I said who And I’m thrilled about what book 3 will bringSC Wynne made this book even better than book 1 and it’s reading like a suspenseful TV show Her ability to introduce new characters make us uestion each one and if they are trustworthy is great I love how I found myself saying “Oh I want to like this person Please don’t make them a malicious assassin who wants to kill Marc and Dillion’s happiness” LOLI really really loved this book and am eager for So this book picks up with Dillon living in France with his assassin lover who hasn't uite uit his job yet He gets an urgent call to get to Paris by train and trust no one Of course innocent Dillon chats with the old lady next to him not good After she tries to kill them they head to Italy to Marc's ex's house This leads to some tension needless to say but the two assassins decide to head off and put an end to the criminal wanting to kill Marc and leave Dillon to hang out with an old trusted friend of the two and he befriends a young waiter at the local cafeThings come to a head in the cafe with lots of drama and murder and mayhem leaving Dillon and Marc free and maybe the ex and the cafe boy looking at something This was okay but it obviously didn't leave an impression because I had to go back and refresh myself as to the plot I liked the characters well enough and yes I would read a story about the ex and the barista So just depends what you are in he mood for When is the third book coming out? Argh that ending I loved reading about the continued story for Marc and Dillon lots of action and fast paced plot in this one I really liked them struggling to define their relationship and find balance with each other I'll definitely be on the lookout for the next book What a great seuel The action starts right awayloved watching Marc and Blondie stumble through there hot steamy romance Is the third book out yet?
