involved North on the other hand is someone who doesn t want to give up his dream of becoming good enough to be an Olympic ice skater North isn t all that great on learning how to do new moves since he practices on a frozen lake which also holds some bad memories for him from when he was younger We learn quite a bit about the different characters who appear in the story for each perspective, and I enjoyed knowing them because they were all good characters I also liked knowing how Hadley came to not be able to skate any, and what her accident had actually been She also eluded to the fact she wished she had stayed a single skater, which gave a little insight as to what might have happened, but when we actually learn it s a very bad injury that she would have never been able to come back from due to its severity unless she had been extremely lucky somehow What I didn t like Doesn t really exist, I felt quite content with this book and what happened.Overall Review This was a very lovely book and one that I really enjoyed reading from the moment I picked up to the moment I finished The characters are lovely and wonderful to follow and learningabout them as the story moved on was something I always love experiencing This is yet another wonderful book by an amazing writer who I can t wait to readfrom Recommend Definitely Victoria Escobar has a way with words that I really like and I m excited to readof her books as they come out I was provided with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.North is an optimistic and hopeful skater, with his eyes set on an Olympic medal The fact that he is pretty much a novice at this and that almost everyone else in the world thinks he can t make it, doesn t really bother him much All that he is desperately destiny Once a gifted skater, but crippled by a nasty accident, she has absolutely no chance of going back to the Olympics ever When these two are thrown together by fate, North sees this as a blessing, hoping Hadley will give him the guidance and training needed, while Hadley sees this as an intrusion, embittered by her frostiness about what can never be hers Will these two leave their shells out and understand each other, is what the book takes us through. What gripped me the most was the diagonally opposite characterisation for North and Hadley each so different from the other, and yet so human at the core As the reader, they both come across as endearing, be it the dreamy eyed, almost baby like North, or the hardened and snappy Hadley The pace of the book was perfect Escobar has managed to keep the narrative engaging, at the same time not rushing through the emotional elements.I absolutely loved the book and would recommend it to all book lovers My rating 5 stars I love
