This is the first book in a trilogy First I want to say this book was very good I liked it The author created two likeable characters Will and Tamzin It starts off with two kings who have been at war for many years they agree to marry their oldest children to each other in order to gain peace between their two kingdoms Will is 18 and Tamzin is 16 Will at first takes an instant dislike to Tamzin and is not very nice to her They marry anyway and over a few months fall in loveThe bad guy a BASTARD brother to Will's father the current king eventually takes over the castle declares himself king and commits grievous atrocities against the people of the kingdom Mass murder the beating and imprisonment of a pregnant womanetc just your overall psychopathBad points about the book several grammatical errors words used improperlyetc Howeverthey were few and far between and did not detract from the bookin my opinion Also I feel the author could have described the battles that took place we the readers were only told that the good army had won a battlethere was no action I feel that the Author missed the opportunity to make the book betterOverall it was a good book that I would recommend I look forward to the next book in the trilogy
