Making Over Maris (Wired #3)

Making Over Maris (Wired #3) Wired, Book ThreeWhen Ber Nerd Jack Asks Sara To Make Him Attractive To Women, She Can T Say No Even Though It S An Impossible Task He S Shaggy And Doughy And Hopelessly Inappropriate He Has No Style Or Emotional Intelligence But He S A Good Person And A Great Friend What Sara Never Expects Beneath All That Fur And Geekiness Is A Steamy Hunk Just Waiting To Emerge.Jack Takes Sara S Regimen Very Seriously, Working Out And Losing Weight Until He Feels Like A New Man He Even Complies With Her Command To Shave His Beard Because Jack Didn T Ask Sara To Make Him Over So He Would Be Attractive To Other Women He Only Wants To Be Attractive To Her They Go On A Series Of Fake Dates, Each Hotter And Sinful Than The Last It S Not Long Before Sara Discovers Jack S Secret Desire To Be Dominated And What Began As An Arrangement Becomes Something Amazing Something That Could Be Real.Inside Scoop Our Hero Appreciates Femdom With The Right Woman Our Hero Doesn T Appreciate Perfect Strangers Grabbing His Junk Ask Nicely First, Ladies A Romantica BDSM Erotic Romance From Ellora S Cave This is how femdom can be sweet and steamy hawt In this third book in the Wired series, another geek bites the dust I ve been waiting for this story to come out The reason why I wanted Jack who is such a jerk in the first two books to receive his comeuppance I bitched about him to Ms York and repeatedly suggested that instead of being a dominant like the other two in this series, Jack the techno geek should be a submissive to a dominant female I also wanted him to get his ass reamed out hard Pegging, dub con, breaking Jack down so he s a sniveling pussy were included in my request When Ms York agreed to consider writing about Jack, she did say he would be a submissive and whimpering Rubbing my hands with glee, I eagerly awaited the spanking Jack deserved.Colour me completely shocked when I read the book Instead of a dark tale of forced submission, Ms York creates a beautifully romantic tale about friends turning into lovers When we learn about Jack, it adds to his depth From a character building perspective, Ms York does an amazing job Usually, the leading male love interest is a hero with a small flaw which only the woman who loves him can fix I frequently roll my eyes at this abused trope.Ms York turns this upside down because everything about Jack comes across as flawed It s not just his looks He is rude, crude and clueless His makeover My Fair Lady style is very well done Ms York captures the confused male who doesn t understand the female species In addition, we learn why Jack is the way he is and it s a bit heartbreaking In Jack, we see not an ugly duckling transformation What we see is the heart of gold hidden behind a prickly wall. From a femdom perspective, Sara is awesome She s a realistic portrayal of a woman with sexual dominant tendencies in a world where it s socially acceptable for a man to be the sexual aggressor The heartbreaks she s experienced when males reject her proclivities will make a reader wince It doesn t matter, female or male, rejection is rejection It still cuts to the quick Sara leading Jack into the world of femdom is steamy hawt The BDSM in this story is just right and perfect for those who want to take a dip into the fun world of femdom. This story is than just erotic sex and a Cinderella make over It is about friendship bonds which strengthens and morphs into a sensual loving binding The added humor with process flows and geek speak only appeals to my inner geek Ms York exceeds my expectations in this sweet erotic romance She ran with it in a manner that is better than I could have imagined This is my favorite book of hers, which is odd since Jack was previously my most loathed character in her books I love having things turned completely 180 degrees on me.This is an entertaining book which will captive the reader and force them to read it one sitting This kinky romance is highly recommended to beginning femdom lovers. This book was simply marvelous I loved it from the first line to the last I wish I could give it 10 stars, because I don t think that I ve enjoyed a book this much in quite a while The story is funny and the dialogue between all of the characters is marvelous Jack Maris is a nerds, nerd He s quirky, he doesn t get women at all , but he is loyal and honest and fiecerly loveable So loveable I rooted from him the moment the story started I could have been completely biased because I love nerds so much, but it was so much than that If he wasn t a nerd, I still would have loved him I ve not wanted two people to work out so badly I never had concerns that Sara was too much for Jack, because she never was They balanced each other perfectly They really were one, needing each other so much I would highly, highly recommend this book It most definitely is a book that I would read again and again It s part of a set, but can definitely be read as a standalone, though I plan to read the others in the series Without a doubt a must read Loved it So funny and heartwarming and sexy Highly recommend it Cute, funny and charming A Cinder fella story.Awesome and titillating plot about a rather hairy and desperate nerd in love with a cute, sassy girl from the office with domme tendencies. His request for a makeover starts a chain reaction the h has no idea was coming. Making Over Maris is book three in the Wired series by Sabrina York I ll make my usual disclaimer, which is I don t give spoilers in my reviews, but when I m reviewing books in a series, it is often difficult, or impossible to avoid giving spoiler to the earlier books Please, proceed with caution if you haven t read Adam s Obsession or Tristan s Temptation I am a HUGE Sabrina York fan, I read all of her books as soon as they come out Adam s Obsession is one of my top ten books of all time So when I found out Jack Maris was getting his own book, I was excited, and a little surprised Jack wasn t exactly a ladies man, or hero material in the earlier books But I trust Sabrina to deliver in her stories Making Over Maris finds Jack deeply in love with his high school friend and co worker Sara He has been in love with her for years, and put himself in the friend zone just to be close to her He is a self made millionaire, computer geek, and not overly attractive to the female population Sara is Jack s best friend, and she is looking for Mr Right She thinks she has found him in Todd The only problem is, once she revealed her true nature to Todd, he ran for the hills Her true nature is that of a Domme She is devastated by this rejection Jack comes up with a foolproof plan He asks Sara to teach him to be irresistible to women Well, a special woman This is a common theme in romance novels, but here is where it gets a little different, since the GUY is the one being made over None the less, it always makes me a little uncomfortable I mean, are looks the ONLY thing people think about I thought Sara was a little mean at times, but I think her personal issues with fear and rejection lent to that I always wonder when someone changes their appearance and the other person magically sees them in a different light, if they go back to the old appearance, will the love fade away I know, I know, I m cynical I can t help it So, Sara starts instructing him on how to treat the ladies, taking him on fake dates, giving him reading materials, giving him a workout regimen Jack puts his all into it, and excels, just as he does in everything I love seeing how Sara s perspective starts to change, and how Jack reacts to it Sara also has another surprise coming when she starts seeing signs that Jack might be open to her Domme tendencies than any man in her past They both have to face their fears and open their hearts to move beyond the fake dating and making things real I would be remiss in pointing out that it isn t very often that you get a really good BDSM novel that isn t over the top, but to have one that isn t over the top, AND has a female top That is unheard of You should read this book just for that reason Sabrina York did an excellent job of portraying a fledgling D s relationship in a sexual sense As usual, this was a hot, steamy read, with a little bit of angst Another five star read from Sabrina York Angela I hadn t read any of the earlier books in this series, but I will be grabbing them with my Santa offerings Making Over Maris is a refreshing take on a Pygmalion story, but here the man is sorely in need of the polish Jack is rude, prickly, crude and utterly incapable of dealing properly with a female Dork doesn t even come close to definng his image, with his scraggly beard and inattention to his dress or physique And well, there is this little problem he makes flow charts and analyzes trends If Yes Charm her from her bad mood If No Proceed with cauthion Proceed with caution We re not wild animals, Jack You kind of are This he muttered But anyone who has worked with the denizens of the IT departments with the Star Trek posters, dim lights, Dr Who memorabilia and the endless parade of black t shirts referencing Shroedinger s Cat or making puns of Pi will relate to his innate discomfort Yet all is not smooth in Sara s world Her own ego has taken several dings and her heart has been kicked often, leaving her unsure of her own self and desires, and believing that life will never be what she hopes so learning to settle is best But, gamely Sara takes on the task to make Jack a ladies man, and in the process finds that this diamond in the rough just might be the perfect fit for her life Jack, for his part, went to her because of an undying attraction and desire for her to become his, and what better way to learn from the mistress herself With forays into romance novels, long discussions about life and trust, and several steamy scenes in which they test their own sexual desires and limits the story starts as a steam fest, but develops into a heartwarming and romantic story that shows the power of trust and honest communication You never really know just how a story from Sabrina York will affect you, but the Pont Marie in Paris, with a crib sheet outlining the steps to forever was the most perfectly delicious and romantic option possible I purchased a copy of this title for my own library I was not compensated for this review all conclusions are my own responsibility. I don t usually care for femdom , but this Well, let me tell you, I loved this Jack Maris was the sweetest Yep I said sweetest uber nerd it has been my privilege to read about The lengths he went to win the lady of his heart To die for Then to find out she is also his ultimate Domme Now how special is that And Sara Frustrated, fledgling Domme She has had her perfect sub under her nose since High School Yep In spite of the BDSM elements of this story, it was one of the sweetest romances I have read in a very long time It had me sighing in longing I have been reading Sabrina Yorks books for a while now She is only getting better at her craft I think this is her best book to date It had the salacious sex she is known for, but the story sigh It drew me in and made me so envious of what these two people found together You just have to read this for yourself Believe me, it will be worth it This is one of the most awesome books I have ever read I do not usually get into female doms however this was amazing jack and sarah had it all chemistry out of this world, the man with money she cares nothing about, a girl that has her secrets and has been hurt and too scared to share them it was everything I couldnt put it down I loved jack and sarah from the first moment of can I ask you a favor to all the way to the bridge in paris the female dom part was not over done so didnt put me off and he wasnt too submissive to make me want to rethink things about him I just loved it all have to go back and read the first 2 in the series now I hadn t read any of the earlier books in this series, but I will be grabbing them with my Santa offerings Making Over Maris is a refreshing take on a Pygmalion story, but here the man is sorely in need of the polish Jack is rude, prickly, crude and utterly incapable of dealing properly with a female Dork doesn t even come close to definng his image, with his scraggly beard and inattention to his dress or physique And well, there is this little problem he makes flow charts and analyzes trends If Yes Charm her from her bad mood If No Proceed with cauthion Proceed with caution We re not wild animals, Jack You kind of are This he muttered But anyone who has worked with the denizens of the IT departments with the Star Trek posters, dim lights, Dr Who memorabilia and the endless parade of black t shirts referencing Shroedinger s Cat or making puns of Pi will relate to his innate discomfort Yet all is not smooth in Sara s world Her own ego has taken several dings and her heart has been kicked often, leaving her unsure of her own self and desires, and believing that life will never be what she hopes so learning to settle is best But, gamely Sara takes on the task to make Jack a ladies man, and in the process finds that this diamond in the rough just might be the perfect fit for her life Jack, for his part, went to her because of an undying attraction and desire for her to become his, and what better way to learn from the mistress herself With forays into romance novels, long discussions about life and trust, and several steamy scenes in which they test their own sexual desires and limits the story starts as a steam fest, but develops into a heartwarming and romantic story that shows the power of trust and honest communication You never really know just how a story from Sabrina York will affect you, but the Pont Marie in Paris, with a crib sheet outlining the steps to forever was the most perfectly delicious and romantic option possible I purchased a copy of this title for my own library I was not compensated for this review all conclusions are my own responsibility. I received this book as part of a judging panel I was only required to read the first 30 pages, before judging it, then it was up to me if I wanted to finish it or not.Did I want to continue after the first 30 pages No I didn t, and I actually put the book aside for a few weeks However knowing it was tagged as femdom I decided to pick it back up to see where it went The story was very slow going and I admit to skimming pages at times Sara was a shallow bitch Jack Maris was a nerd trying to win Sara s attention by asking her to help make him over The story might have worked better for me, if the two MC s hadn t known each other for long, but they had gone to school together Apparently Jack had always been there for Sara, yet she didn t know what had happened to his parents The fact she couldn t see him for who he was as a person, until he lost weight etc was all very superficial The ending and trip to Paris were rather predictable, IMO.So why three stars The sex scenes and the hot tub were delicious My inner Domme was satisfied.
