Good story A bit sad for my tastes but I read to escape so anything that bums me out isn't going to be a fav no matter how well written or crafted A good fantasy without romantic floundering Wow I really enjoyed this book I think this book may be overlooked by many because of its title This was the best epic fantasy book I have read since The Dark Disciple trilogy The names of the land uickly become set in your head as well as the peoples of each land My kindle version did not have a map and I don't know if there was supposed to be one but I enjoyed it anywayAdventure slight romance suspense and mystery all rolled into one What could you ask for? As a bonus goblin blood and dragons are thrown right in I really liked the fact that dragons were on the side of good in this book Dragons being one of the eight races fighting against the dark was so much better than having the dragons be the servants of the dark I appreciate all the lore that has been rolled into one fantasy story in this book Elements of Dragonlance Lord of the Rings Dragon Riders of Pern and Avalon all were brought to mind as I read this story I enjoyed the twists the story line took every time I knew had one of the companions figured out they changed I must admit though that I did figure out the Star Child halfway through the book But the rest? NopeKerysk completely shocked me even though my heart yearned for it I was surprised by itHighly enjoyable I couldn't put it down I even lost myself in it in public places and had to reorient myself to my surroundings when I put the book down Highly highly recommended Pure Fantasy This is unfortunately a stand alone novelI really enjoyed this book It is well written and the characters are very realistic The world was beautiful and uniue The story line was full of twists and kept me guessing until the very end It has been a while since I read anything that was pure fantasy genre because a lot of times they are hard to get into but that was not the case here I just wish there were books This book is a stand alone sigh but maybe if enough people complain Elizabeth will write Coming of age meets sword and sorcery at its finest This book is suitable for adult readers who enjoy dark fantasy
